The Story During the 1977 season, sitting in fifth place and with the Chiefs' future uncertain due to the closing of the mill in Charlestown, Player/Coach Reggie Dunlop vowed to do whatever it takes to start winning so someone would buy the team. Under his direction and with a trio of goons brought in from the Iron League, the Chiefs fought (literally) their way to the top, winning the Federal League Championship, and solidifying Dunlop's place among hockey player/coach legends.
